In collaboration with APE Malaysia, Verdant Solar has successfully planted 750 trees and is on track to reach our goal of 1000 trees within six months. This initiative features prominent species such as Durian (Durio sp), Fig (Ficus sp), Pulai (Alstonia sp), Simpoh Laki (Dillenia excelsa), and Sengkuang (Dracontomelon), among many more. By incorporating these and other diverse species, we enhance the Malaysian ecosystem, support wildlife habitats, and contribute to carbon sequestration. This effort fosters a greener, more balanced environment, leaving a lasting legacy of ecological health for future generations.
This project involves planting diverse species that enhance the Malaysian ecosystem, contributing to cleaner air and a healthier environment. By committing to this initiative, we aim to leave a lasting legacy of green spaces and ecological balance for future generations.
Our team at Verdant Solar actively participated in planting 120 trees among the 500 trees we planted in total with TRCRC, combining environmental impact with valuable team-building. This collaboration reinforced our commitment to sustainability and teamwork.
We planted key species such as Pelong (Hopea odorata), Jelawai (Shorea robusta), Meawan (Shorea macrophylla), Meranti Teman Nipis (Shorea leprosula), and Merbau (Intsia bijuga). Each species plays a vital role in the Malaysian ecosystem, Pelong and Merbau enhance biodiversity and provide timber, Jelawai stabilizes soil, Meawan supports wildlife, and Meranti Teman Nipis aids in forest regeneration.
This initiative significantly benefits the environment by improving biodiversity, soil quality, and wildlife habitats, underscoring our dedication to a greener future and the importance of our collective actions in preserving the environment for future generations.
