If your bill is around RM400/month:

Over time, this adds up to a significant cost reduction.

FAQ

Are you interested in solar solutions but have some questions in mind unresolved? We’ve consolidated top asked questions that may help make you take the step to decide today.

Should I wait before installing Solar ATAP?

If your electricity bills are already high, waiting usually means continuing to pay more to TNB. Solar ATAP allows you to start reducing your bills now, especially if your home meets the basic requirements.

Solar ATAP works differently from NEM. While NEM offered one-to-one credit, ATAP focuses more on self-consumption. With the right system design, homeowners can still achieve strong savings.

Savings depend on your electricity usage and system size. Many homeowners see 30% to 70% reduction in their electricity bills when the system is properly designed.

Not necessarily. Most homes can benefit from solar without a battery.

However, a battery can provide additional benefits:

  • Store excess solar energy for use later

  • Reduce reliance on the grid

  • Provide backup power during outages (depending on system setup)

Homes looking for greater energy independence or more control over their usage may benefit more from adding a battery.

Once approvals are completed, installation is usually fast and can often be completed within a short timeframe, depending on your home and system size.

Solar ATAP is mainly suitable for landed homes with sufficient roof space and active TNB accounts with bills of RM200 or more. Apartments and condos are generally not eligible.

The right system size depends on your electricity bill, usage pattern, and roof space.. A proper assessment ensures your system is optimised for savings under Solar ATAP.

  • Experience in leading or coaching a sales team to improve performance.
