In a remarkable display of unity and commitment to sustainability, Verdant Solar partnered with INTI International University & Colleges to tackle environmental challenges and foster a greener future. This CSR initiative, held in collaboration with the Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Selangor (JPNS), saw both Verdant Solar team members and INTI students come together to plant trees in Kuala Selangor—a region known for its rich biodiversity and crucial ecosystems.
The objective represents a tangible step toward reducing carbon footprints, enhancing biodiversity, and supporting local ecosystems. Alongside Verdant’s mission, INTI students took on the goal of raising awareness about environmental issues and the benefits of tree planting. Through educational sessions and hands-on activities, the students learned about the challenges facing our planet and the role each individual can play in preserving natural resources. Their participation in this project provided an invaluable opportunity to witness firsthand the importance of tree planting and how it contributes to healthier air, improved soil quality, and a reduction in greenhouse gasses.
This initiative was not only about setting and achieving goals but also about creating lasting change. A total of 100 trees were planted during the event. A diverse group of 42 people actively participated, including 30 students, 10 Verdiants, and 2 lecturers. Each person contributed to the planting effort and gained an appreciation for nature’s role in combating climate change.
The impact of this CSR initiative goes beyond numbers. For the students, the event fostered a sense of responsibility toward environmental preservation and reinforced the power of collaborative action. For Verdant Solar, it was another milestone in their ongoing journey to make a positive impact on the environment and inspire others to do the same.
